You point out that your issue with Jangl as it is today, doesn't allow you to give somebody a phone number. Understand, in this baby step as I referred to it, is specifically designed for online dating and social networking. For example, we power Match.com's MatchTalk service. People meet online and click a TALK button to get a number to call the other person. And as you'll soon see in some social networks, Jangl is distributed as a widget, something that crowd can grok today. This is where Jangl went first.

In terms of the offline dating scenario, our solution totally blows for obvious reasons. Some of that isn't so ugly when you can text a Jangl ID to 52645 (JANGL) and get a persons number. But still not totally optimal. As you pointed out, it MUST be in the form of a number. That's coming very soon.

Seperately, you said this:

What I am looking for, at least as I proposed it, can really only be offered by one of a few parties:

at&t as they own both wireline and wireless networks
Verizon as they own wireline and partially own a wireless network (the other owner being Vodafone)
Comcast and other cable companies that offer telephone service and are willing to partner with a wireless outfit, which could work in areas where at&t and Verizon are not the dominant carrier.
--

Well, if I'm understanding you correctly, Jangl will be the first to be able to do what you want.

And yes, I'll Jangl you later this week. Am traveling right now:) Will be at Etel if you are..
