Sorry for the confusion here - indeed, there were three filings for this phone in the FCC's stores and it seems only one of them made mention of WCDMA 1700 -- needless to say, that was not the app I originally linked to. I've since updated the link. As with all of you guys, I'm personally pulling for this to be real; would be a huge coup both for T-Mobile and an important affirmation on Nokia's part about their commitment to American 3G.

Cheers,
Chris @ Engadget Mobile

I also couldn't find the mentioned picture on fcc site. However, assuming it's somewhere there it would indicate that E90 would come in 2 version - EU & US, presumably EU would pack 4 band GSM and WCDMA 2100, US would only be a 2 band 850/1900 GSM with WCDMA 850, 1700, 1900 (usable both on cingular and t-mobile). It makes some sense, however we can only speculate at this point.

<!--%kramer-pre%-->Engadget Mobile posted on it first, citing some FCC docs that pointed towards UNIVERSAL US 3G (meaning both for Cingular AND T-mobile's as-yet un-launched 3G network). However, Phoneboy, a Nokia employee, pointed out the false aspects of that document, so I believe that it rests that the E90 will NOT have US 3G, which is kinda what I was expecting since it was announced. However, if Nokia wants to go all old-school on us and have an E90a and an E90b, well then, I am 100% for that.<!--%kramer-post%-->
