Sleepovers and Gutter Cleaning

My son had a friend of his sleep over at our house last night. That’s a first. With my son and his friend getting up at 6:30am, it may not be something we want to repeat for a while.

The other exciting thing that happened this weekend was I cleaned out the gutters. Never done it in the three years we’ve owned the house. When there’s an actual weed growing in there, it’s definitely time to clean them out. A great way to kill an afternoon and get very sore going up and down a couple of ladders, and that’s almost immediate. Let’s see how I feel in a couple of days.

Meanwhile, it’s back to the grind of work. But I only have to work three days this week. Obviously, Monday was a holiday, but I am taking Friday off as it’s my son’s first day of school. Why they’re starting on a Friday, I’ll never know, but hey, I’ll take another three-day weekend.
