My Dad’s Internet Safety Tips
My dad claims I dragged him into the online world many eons ago–back in the days of Bulletin Board Systems running on a modem or two on an old computer stuck in a closet of some guys house. I do remember accessing a few of my favorite Santa Cruz BBSes when I visited his place one summer. Whether that was the nucleus for his later work with computers or if he was already inclined that way, who knows.
Nowadays, my dad is a computer technician based in the sticks of Northern California. Chances are, if you have a Dell computer in that part of the world and it needed on-site service in the past few years you’ve probably seen my dad.
