A Retro “Headset” For Your Mobile Phone
I’m not sure exactly where my wife bought this, but the “Please Hold Retro Cell Phone Handset” was under my tree today. Think an old ma-bell style handset with a 2.5mm headset jack. They also include adapters for many common phones, including Nokia Pop Port. I did a cursorary audio test with this device and it appears to work okay.
The handset, unfortunately, doesn’t have the “heft” the old Western Electric phones handsets had. Those things could hurt someone! Meanwhile, this handset is a bit on the light side. It’s also not something I’d likely “carry around” except to show people. Maybe I’ll use it in my office or something.
