Verizon Lowering The Cost of PSTN Lines
Verizon is trying something interesting to prevent the loss of landlines: lower the price to $9.95 a month for a year. While I can’t find any hard evidence on my own to back up Gary Kim’s statement, I have to believe the large LECs are willing to pull out all the stops to ensure their profitable landline service doesn’t go in the toilet. The question I have is: what happens after a year? And when will Qwest and other local carriers follow suit?
