Technorati Catching Up
For the past several months, I’ve noticed that Technorati has been behind the times in terms of finding posts written about me and letting me know about it via the RSS feed. It was next to useless as far as I could tell.
Over the past few weeks, however, I’ve noticed that Technorati’s results on me are getting more and more current. Today, at least, it found something someone wrote about me in the past couple of weeks. It’s still not stuff that’s happened yesterday, but it’s getting closer.
Every company tracking the blogosphere has a nearly impossible job. I personally put out several blog posts a day. Multiply that by a bazillion bloggers and you have a lot of data to sift through on a daily basis. You wonder why Google needs so many damned computers to serve up search results.
