In and Out for 2009

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of Christmas. It’s not that I’m not a fan of families getting together, seeing the joy of the kids opening Christmas presents on Christmas morning, or even seeing “It’s a Wonderful Life” for the 30th time. I just personally have a hard time getting into the holiday “spirit,” whatever that is.
Despite my personal issues surrounding the holidays, I tend to take this time of year to look back at the previous year and look ahead to the next. Clearly, given the recent Nokia/Check Point announcements, some changes are in store for me!
The prolonged job uncertainty plus my general disillusionment with much of the blogosphere and social networking has caused me to reexamine exactly where I am focusing my energies. The most obvious result is an almost standstill on blogging, but there have been other subtle changes as well.
With this in mind, I am going to do a series of posts on what I think is IN and OUT for 2009, at least as far as I’m concerned. Hopefully it will generate some discussion and get the creative juices flowing again.
