What about Level3?
Some comments from Skibare about Level3 appeared in a comment on VoIP 2005 Predictions. He seems to think that Level3 will be involved in VoIP consolidation that might occur in 2005–consolidation I am not entirely convinced will occur this year (in general, not specifically with Level3).
This comment did raise an interesting idea related to all these VoIP startups that will eventually go out of business when bubble burst and the money runs out. If they’re selling resold service (and a lot of them are), the likes of Level3, Broadvox, Focal, and Global Crossing might end up expanding their direct customer base as a result of “assimilating” all these customers of their out-of-business partners.
