Quitting for the Right Reasons
I actually have a bit of respect for my boss at my employer, though my respect for him has increased quite a bit. While he is leaving the company, which I don’t like only because good bosses are hard to find, I totally respect his reason.
“I leave for personal reasons,” he writes in an email to various people, “because it is time to move back to my kids and my family in the eastern part of the US. Otherwise, nothing short of getting fired could have made me leave this great gig.”
If there’s any reason to quit a good job and move, it’s because you need to be closer to your kids and your family.
