WiFi at my Hotel!
It appears the hotel I am staying in in the middle of Alabama has free WiFi! I would expect that or free “wired” Internet access in a hotel in a major metro area. Calera, Alabama isn’t exactly a bustling metropolitan area.
I didn’t notice any Ethernet ports in this hotel. However, when I fired up my Nokia 9500 to browse the net, I noticed that the “Easy WLAN” option came up. This only shows up when there’s an access point nearby that is broadcasting a SSID. I connected to one of the three access points that came up and sure enough, it let me on! W00t!
