You Would Think Skype Would Want The Money
Chris over at EQO complains about how hard it is to buy SkypeOut credits for their employees. Mainly because Skype puts limits on the number of accounts a particular credit card or Paypal account can be used to fill an account.
If I had a lot of Skype accounts to refill, I would be using a one-time credit card. I hate using a real credit card to do anything online anyway. If someone has a stupid limit like this, I would just generate however many “virtual” credit cards I need. Rinse and repeat.
Of course, one wonders why Skype is actually making it so hard to give them money in the first place. My guess is that it has something to do with fraud prevention. Of course, try telling Chris or any other legitimate purchaser thwarted by Skype that’s the reason.
