SightSpeed 5 beta coming this week
I haven’t used SightSpeed in quite some time, though I got some advanced warning about the upcoming SightSpeed 5.0 beta being made available this Wendesday. Some highlights:
- Make and receive voice calls to/from the PSTN, including 800 number support
- Voice-only mode for PC to PC calling
- Enhanced contact list views
- Improved video codecs–the existing codec is pretty good, can’t wait to see what the new codec looks like!
- Ability to select video codec in use

Ability to import from Plaxo (won’t be available until the final 5.0 release or a point release thereafter).</ul> Once I get my hands on it, I’ll have to do a review.
