VoIP Blog Dashboard Online

The folks at VoIPWorkgroup.com have set up what can best be described as a VoIP Blogger Portal. Articles from a number of different prominent VoIP bloggers, including my site, are listed here. The links do come back to the original site, which is a bonus. Also, I can tell they're using Drupal on their site, just like I do.

My question is, what's in this for them? I mean, aside from getting us bloggers to link back and them providing links back to us, which is mutually beneficial in terms of Google Juice. But how can you really monetize that? Is there some angle here I'm not seeing? I don't think there's anything nefarious going on here, I'm just trying to understand the real motivation.

I guess this site at least isn’t republishing full-text VoIP feeds like several sites I found a couple of weeks ago (and slapping on their own google adsense ads besides).

not only lists prominent VoIP bloggers, but also displays their recent post. Too good, at least for those who do not have patience or time for going through all the blogs. Rich Tehrani says he will use the site often, Phoneboy calls it a VoIP dashboard and wonders “what’s in this for them?” It looks to me Voipworkgroup.com is bound to get popular with many blog readers and it will attract significant eyeballs. Watchout for the sidebar (on the left hand site) which has no content currently but
