Telcos Pressure AllFreeCalls.net to Shut Down–Temporarily

AllFreeCalls.net’s service is offline. According to Pat Phelan, it got shut off earlier Friday afternoon, but he plans to get it back up Monday.

I wonder if the large telcos are going to use their lobbying power to get these asymetrical tarriffs changed. Probably. Then services like AllFreeCalls.net won’t be feasible anymore. Shame, really, because it’s a lovely service.
