The Nokia N95 Has a Flakey Network Stack, Too!

Sheesh, you’d think they would have made this stuff more stable, but like with earlier versions of the Nokia N80 Internet Edition firmware, the network stack sucks! Over the past couple of days, I have managed to get the web browser and others apps to lock up because of the network stack (particularly WiFi) just “going south.” Power off and reboot time.

I’ve also had the phone crash and reboot upon receiving an SMS (or within a few seconds of receiving one). This has happened multiple times while actively using the phone. I don’t know if this is related to the network stack issue above, but an SMS should not cause the phone to crash!

Then he got his Nokia N95 and experienced random reboots and instability when it came to using the VoIP features. Jonathan Greene was relieved to know that he wasn’t the only one having these issues. Now Ricky Cadden is delightfully pissed off that there is only one application
