A Glowing Review of my Check Point book

Today, my marketing person at Addison Wesley sent me an email telling me another review had been posted about my Essential Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 NG book on the IEEE reviews site. Unfortunately, it is password protected. It’s a pity, because it was a rather glowing review. However, I’ll post a snippet here in my blog:

The quality of writing in the book makes it appropriate for a technically oriented audience, as well as for readers in a wider range of specialties; the author makes use of appropriate and relevant language widely used in the subject area. The book addresses relevant and appropriate topics in its discipline. The text is clear, easy to understand, and is presented at an appropriate level. Welch-Abernathy covers a reasonable scope in the subject area. The inclusion of practical models, and network driven applications, gives the work a competitive edge.
