EQO an Echo Of Their Former Self

I got word from a source that EQO, a player in the mobile VoIP and IM space, has significantly downsized their staff on Thursday. I’ve seen EQO’s downsizing reported elsewhere, though it does make me wonder if they got the news from the same source I did.

Assuming this is true, I guess my prognostications on EQO’s latest business plan were right, though it could just as easily be the global economic crisis. EQO might be able to carve out a nice little business for themselves if they scale back and hunker down. Focus on providing high-quality, cheap minutes, and good customer service. Maybe.
