More Comment Spam Foo
Pretty much everyone who has a blog has to deal with comment or trackback spam. I’ve been messing with various plugins for NucleusCMS and, at least of the ones I tried previously, all have issues.
I’ve switched to some new plugins and ditched the old ones. In theory it should be less annoying. Comment sources are checked against a series of keywords and real-time blacklists. Anything that fails that will have to answer the dreaded Captcha challenge. Comments on older posts will always be moderated. You can also just email me at dwelch AT phoneboy DOT com and I will be happy to create you an account so you don’t have to worry about that at all.

Edit: Now I’m using Drupal, so this entry is moot.
