This podcast is my audio review of the Wireless Smart Glucometer Monitoring System from iHealth Labs. Here are the cliff notes:
Pros:
- Test strips are reasonably priced compared to what your insurance company charges you.
- Syncs results to your iPhone over Bluetooth (iOS and Android).
- Glicometer charges with USB cable.
- The “eject test strip” button is a nice touch.
- Integrates with HealthKit.
Cons:
- Do not like the included lancet system.
- Requires scanning barcode on test strip bottle upon opening a new bottle of test strips (or changing bottles).
- Does not come with control solution (needed to verdy accuracy of meter).
